Not sure how wud this help, you wud need a good box design to get it to work therby compromising on space again. Why dont you get some good midbass drivers instead or get underseat subwoofers if you really have space constraints - do remember they wont generate a lot of thump though.

Get a minimum of 10" as you are having a 6.5" mid. Only then they will jell.

HAT had their Imagine 6.5" Sub its very good but needs a ported enclosure which will be slightly bigger.

I am using dual 6.5 inch. Effect is good but will not blow your ears off.

Yes, you can put in rear doors, but you will need to do added damping. Do not fix any part of the woofer on any PVC templates. It has to be with wood spacers on the metal only. But there is always a risk of the woofer bottoming out unless you can seal the doors properly. The acoustic correction work you need to do to get performance out of a subwoofer in the door will outweigh the benefits.

Yes, 6.5 inch subwoofer is doable in car boot. If you have hatchback, go with company specs for ported. If its a sedan, you will have to go with bandpass enclosures to get more output, ported can also work. For sealed you will need atleast 50% more than the recommended power rating.
You can try isobaric configurations with dual 6.5 woofers in a single box (the best solution), but hard to achieve unless you have some good installers to do it for you.
      Google isobaric for more details.

For least of complications, go with a 8 or 10 inch woofer. 10 is my suggestion. Sealed is a safe bet.

Transmission Line Enclosure for 6.5" drivers also is an option to sound way too good but at the cost of space.
