Both are well known brands and reliability isn't an issue with either of them - Hylux ballasts are used as OEM by many automotive manufacturers in their cars with HID setup.

Get the Morimoto kit from TRS directly. What say?!

Nope, they [Delhi] replied that they can get me 50W option. And their Bangalore contact is hopeless. He tries to push his own stuff every time is contacted + loads of attitude.

That's the plan. Actually TRS has cheaper prices than Morimoto portal.
On Hylux vs Morimoto ballasts, what are your thoughts?

That's bad. All this while I was under the impression that Morimoto India (Delhi) had both 35W and 50W HID kits for sale. I'm too thinking to get a pair of 35W Morimoto Mini D2S 5.0 HID kits for install in two of my friends car through TRS.

That is how the connections go..

      Stock bulb connector -> Can-bus adapter + Grounding Ring -> 35W Ballast -> Igniter -> 4300K Morimoto 9005 Bulbls

Thinking whether to do a DIY or look for an installer.
DIY means removing headlight housing -> also means partially dismantling front bumper. Not sure if I wanna do all that.

Yet to take it on a night highway drive - but for now it looks good.
Start-up time seems to have improved after few initial power ups. It turns to full bright probably in 4 seconds.

But the looks of this car have got me thinking of a change?
Stock tyres could be Bridgestone or Hankook. Mine came with Bridgestone.

Looking to change car or tyres?

Just wondering, if you are obsessed with tyres, and that too Apollo?

      City: Apollo Alnac 4g
i20 Grand: Apollo Alnac 4G Tyre (what is i20 Grand? I know of i10 grand and i20 Elite)
      Hexa: Apollo Adapterra

Ford Figo Alloy/Tyre Upgrade Options. - Page 58

"I am using 16? inch alloys with Apollo Alnac 4G tyres on all four. It is a great package that offers both looks and performance at a great price point. The Apollo Alnac tyre was already a great choice for those who wanted performance without paying too much for it and now with the Alnac 4G, you get more of that at great price. The 4G moniker is for Apollo?s tread design which offers low rolling resistance while enhancing grip on wet and dry surfaces. The 4G pattern also displaces water better than competing patterns in the price range, hence helping you avoid hydroplaning during rains."

Looks like some marketing gibberish to me.

Discussion on Tata Altroz - Page 2

" I bought the Hexa top trim, manual, back in 2018, even upsized the tyres with Apollo Apterra all-terrain tyres and went for a spin to Leh. At the end of the road, the SUV did not live up to my expectations. The cabin quality is not satisfactory enough for the price you pay for these vehicles. The car and bike review for Altroz also highlights that fact."

Even a post to criticise Tata has Apollo tyre mentioned.

Hyundai i20 Tyre Alloy Wheel Upgrade Guide - Page 9

"If you are planning a wheel upgrade, tyre upgrade becomes a must. I recently changed my i20 Grand?s wheels from stock to 16? inch alloys and bought the Apollo Alnac 4G Tyre to go with them. While I was expecting some loss in fuel-efficiency due to the wider alloy wheels, I was surprised that the fuel-efficiency has remained pretty much the same. All thanks to the 4G tread pattern by Apollo Tyres which reduces rolling resistance while providing excellent grip on dry and wet tarmac."

Incidentally all your posts (except the introductory post) have only one thing in common: Apollo tyres. And these posts have not been typed-in, but copy pasted from somewhere. So a ' becomes "?". " becomes "?" etc.

Let me start by saying this: 'ban that bleedy whatsapp!' .. now coming back to thread..

Just done with first oil change[second service] at around 9.5K kms. Service cost me 7K INR without wheel balance and alignment.
Car needs 5.3 ltrs of engine oil and HASS informed that they use Shell Fully Synthetic oil. Planning to get sensairy TPMS sensor - will also get alignment and balancing done at that time from Madhus. Mileage of car has remained around 10.5 kmpl in city and around 15kmpl on highways.

Dashcams are a necessity in today's world and I've been running a dashcam in the car called Azdome [got it from Aliexpress]. It's an 'ok' dashcam for the price. It is a capacitor based cam with parking mode, WiFi and GPS built-in. It doesn't do true 4K vid as it says on the cam. Did install myself and it was pretty easy.
No cutting/tapping of wires required. It is powered from one of the USB power sources of the Verna.

I wish I had that much space left on my windshield. With the fastag, office parking sticker and home parking sticker, I don't have space for other things. How does the wire stay put during driving off road?
