      thanks Rahul! how are you?

regarding the HID kit : looks like bulbs in the link are 35W and ballasts are rated at 55W. is that fine?
and what bulb to choose? Cnlight/Yeaky/Heartray ?

what do you think of this kit from Osram?

      Congrats on new car.

I love the orange color but black is also looks nice in the pics. As fas as I know clay bar is more advanced stuff. Wider tyre would help but anyways how are these MRF compared to the stock bridgestone's ?

i understand your concern but i've done bit of experiments of my own with decent results on my earlier car - not just clay but wet sanding as well.

more than width, i'm interested in higher side profile these tyres offer. and these MRFs are supposed to be better than many equivalent [including Yoko] tyres. stock bridgestone ecopia were anyways budget and OE only tyres.

I'll say stick to 35W bulb and ballast combination. Get CN Sunny Light bulb and ballasts, they are great for the price charged and VFM.

Please avoid, sir. I've had two bad experiences with this HID kit. Tired of experimenting, I decided to go a step further and upgrade to Morimoto's on my Creta (Morimoto Mini D2S 4.0 Stage III)

I've tried proklear earlier on carbon.. though water beads out nicely but wipers used to make a racket while wiping. Application is critical i guess. I'm planning to change wiper as the rubber would've become brittle as car was standing in the yard for months.
Does that mean there is wax on the windscreen? Wouldn't that cause a haze when there wiper moves? I saw that on my friend' s car. The water would bead, but then it would be wipe, haze for a few seconds, wipe, haze again.. And while the haze was there, visibility would drop off dangerously. Anybody else notice that with windscreen treatment things?

thanks a4anurag !, i've read through your thread - that is an awesome DIY upgrade
from where did you source your bulbs and ballasts ?

nope there wasn't any wax on windscreen . only thing that i added then was just proklear - i think the issue is to do with application. if it is not applied uniformly, it creates micro ridges i guess which vipers cling-on to and make a racket while returning to their base position [it streaks one way while returning].

in case of Verna - i think just wiper upgrade should solve the issue. anyway the rain i encountered on the drive was really heavy - it was as if powered water jet directed on windscreen.

I've sourced the whole kit from Morimoto India distributor, Delhi. Then did the DIY on two Creta's. Can't tell you how happy I am whenever I drive around at nights with the Morimoto's. I know it is a costly modification but life after that modification is, priceless! I mean it, every kilometre covered at nights are peaceful with no strain on the eyes.

I can completely relate to what you mean by peaceful and no strains drives in the night. Even i prefer night drives. Can we just source the ballast and bulbs from Morimoto? Do you have the contact details?

      TIA

I bought it from Morimoto India. As there is one dealer in Bangalore, you can get the stuff from there. They do the installation too IIRC unless you are DIY types.
