      Review of Steg Car speakers

Has any one used Steg high end car speakers?
      Their top end-
      Steg Principe
      Steg RE 650
      Steg ME 650

They look amazing and MRP is around 80 90k?
Wondering if they are worthy competitors to flux reference or rainbow reference / platinum series?

They use neodymium magnets and ceramic cones for midbasses. Wondering they sound equally good as well?

As far as I know they are a Chinese company now, not sure about quality though.

Get an audition if you know who deals with them to see n experience for yourself how good they sound to you.

Steg closed shop in 2006 and suddenly propped up in 2016. All I can see is that they have shop in Philippines and no distribution network.
I would not risk if the pricing is high unless I can get to listen to them.

      Hi kannan sir

Their products can be seen carplus.in
The delhi distributor sells gt trading stuff (steg audio and audio system italy)
I was wondering if any one actually installed it. Given his ways, I doubt our retailer will give audition even during install.

But i find steg principe and re650 quite aesthetic pleasing.

Recently they did win emma thailand

      True.

GT Trading was an import export business that started the Steg brand back in the day and got their amps made by a build house in Italy.

GT Trading shut down and disappeared till recently when the company name and it?s owned trademarks were bought out by it?s current Chinese owners.

There is no association with the earlier build house and their products are not made in Italy. While there is nothing wrong with making things in China, I find it distrustful when brands flash about ?Italy? everywhere when that has nothing to do with anything.

      Quite insight ful Gunbir sir.

It's quite strange , they boast "made in italy" all over their website
      GT-TRADING | STEG | AUDIOSYSTEM

But i still wonder if actually some one installed their top end speakers?

They got good reviews on diyma specially their SQ32 tweeter.

I think the posts on DIYMA say enough about the subject already. The ?good reviews? threads also specify the actual source of the tweeters which is not ?Steg?

All the information is out there and so are the people calling it ********.

14 years ago Audiobahn was the shit, and you could find it all over the place with reviews to boot. We were vocal about the fact that they were a scam and offended a lot of people. The truth came out earlier this year:
      https://www.smh.com.au/world/north-a...09-p50wq2.html

You see made in Italy products with good reviews, I see a scam. At the end of the day, if you really want to believe something sounds great then it probably will.
