Fanastic thread. Quite overwhelmed by the attention to detail and execution. Absolutely fantastic!

Absolutely Awesome thread. the way you dismantled the car, refurbished it and re-assembled it, piece by piece, nut by nut, screw by screw, shade by shade and documenting it for all of us to learn, just reminds me about what a real MechaniX is capable of and a nomad is not capable of. May be probably only person who could do a better than a mechanic is the one described in below story, of course worth few laughs.

So… A mechanic was removing a cylinder head from the motor of a Harley, when he spotted a world-famous heart surgeon in his shop. The heart surgeon was waiting for the service manager to come take a look at his bike.

The mechanic shouted across the garage, “Hey Doc can I ask you a question?” The famous surgeon, a bit surprised, walked over to the mechanic working on the motorcycle.

The mechanic straightened up, wiped his hands on a rag and asked, “So Doc, look at this engine. I also can open it up, take valves out, fix’em, put in new parts and when I finish this will work just like a new one. So how come I get a pittance and you get the really big money, when you and I are doing basically the same work?”

The surgeon paused, smiled and leaned over, and whispered to the mechanic, “Try doing it while it’s running.”

      Color Change

If you are changing color of your car, I was told there is no standard option for it at R.T.O like engine change. I had to provide notarized application directly to Regional Transport Officer and get permission before painting. After painting you need to visit R.T.O with car for inspection, once inspector signs off you will get new RC with updated color. I had some delay during inspection since there was lack of information on exact procedure since not many update car color in RC.
