      Tata sumo or safari

      Hi,

Been looking for a while for Tata sumo in uttarakhand. Didn't find much options only taxi numbers and they are overpriced. Still open for one.
Switched to Tata safari. Reading about it everywhere.
Found one 2.2l dicor. 80k on the odo. 2012 model. 4th owner. Asking 3.5 lacs.
Should I chose sumo or safari?
The reason why I chose these 2 is they are low Resale value and also sits 6+ people.
      Please suggest guys.
      Thanks

Why are you looking for a vehicle? What is the use / purpose and future plan with this vehicle. How much are you willing to spend?

      3.5L for 4th owner 80 odo is a high price I'd believe.

There's no contest. Safari Is better than sumo in ALL regards.
3.5 for 2012 is okayish if car is well maintained. However 4th owner looks like a red flag. And Don't believe those ODOs.

Thanks for the links. Read all of it. Liked it. Doing the work yourself is the best. Only real enthusiasts can do. Unfortunately I don't have my shop here.
Ok here it goes for another truck I saw-
2009 model. Needs real work. Front suspensions, motor for driver side window, leak in the engine (idk where is it coming from), engine noise like the one you had- compression leak, 4 tires, turbo, egr... all of it. Well- ac works ha.
He I initially said - 2.5 lacs. I said 1.4 lacs. After couple of days , he is down to 1.5 lacs.
      Is it a deal?
What costs does all thar work require?
The owner is a bus driver. It is rwd.

1.5 lacs might be cheap, but the work you said is going to be a headache.
      I will stay away.

      Bet ya.
Drove another. 2nd owner. Needs all tires. There is a leak, don't know from where. Squeaking belt that never goes off, ac not working. Rack and pinion needs to be replaced. Odo says 75k.
Front bumper paint coming off. Gears seems to be loose like overhead cable hanging.
Took me 30 seconds to get to first gear. Then he said - seems like you never drive big vehicles. I was like What???? Wanted to speak but I was sweating everywhere. Had ram , 7.2l, v10 and lot more.
      Speak less than thou knowest...
Ok, I have been trying to send pics too but idk the right button
      Could you please guide?

      Where are you looking?
All specimens you are driving look quite beat up.

For adding pics, click GO ADVANCED. Then there is MANAGE ATTACHMENTS button.

Dehradun. Small polluted city, not much options.
Yeah they are being sold because they can't keep or maintain them anymore. I have Short listed one but trying to get better offer.
The one I have Short listed is - 2.7 lacs, 87k kms, needs battery. A.c. Is little feeble.
I still can't find manage attachments.
