Truck has been doing good apart from some water leaks.
Water would leak on the engine bay while parked. 200ml.had to manually suck water. It has been raining hard here. Couldn't take the truck to the mechanic. Then decided I'd do it myself. Was not able to pull off the outer dash. Trex duct tape did it. Went to hardware , amazon- none have trex tape. Man this tape is stronger than screws, 700 pounds towing Tape!
      Questions:
I earlier asked Tata guy about anti freeze. He does not know what anti freeze it. Here temperature is already 8 degrees. Soon will snow. Any suggestions if I could use antifreeze?
Water had been leaking and stayed on the engine bay for about 2 weeks. What harm it may have caused to the lifters or injectors or anything?
As always thanks for comments and suggestions

Taping the top of cowl will not help. Probably your cowl drains are choked and its full of water. You need to undo the wipers and wiper cover, then look underneath. Pics on my Blue elephant thread.

Spray the injector electrical couplers using wd 40.

Screws were rusted. Had to be broken. Water was seeping through clip holes. Applied epoxy but still water is seeping.seal on the windscreen was loose- applied fevicol.
Ran the truck with abro additive until reserve desiel mark.read lot online it said to fill the tank asap. Refilled.
I wanted to understand the fan turning.
Last month got the fans direct. While servicing Tata guys said not to make it direct. They only turn on after attaining certain temperature.
I rode for 90kms. Fan didn't turn on.While idling I gave it gas for 3 rpm for 30 sec. Fan turned on. 5 seconds off. I also noticed hot air coming out of oil separator. Is that normal?
After 5 h break. I drove again.40kms I saw fan was on (ac was also on). Drove 50 kms uphill (mostly 2nd gear, no ac). When I stopped fan wasn't working. Outside temperature uphill was 10-8 degrees.
Do you sense any problem with the fans? The temperature gauge needle was halfway mark all the time

It would turn on when the engine temperature is high and switch off automatically. You don't have to worry about it unless it never turns on, no matter how long you drive. With whatever you're saying, I understand its turning on and off, so you don't have to worry. What service center folks told is right, it should not be direct.

That looks right as well. The moment you turn on your ignition early morning if you notice within 10 seconds or so that needle would go half way mark and that's a right thing. Keep an eye that it doesn't climb steadily beyond that point reaching 75% or higher, that is a sign that your engine is getting overheated and something is wrong (possibly indicating one of the signs like lack of coolant, leaky radiator, radiator cooling fan not running, etc)

You seem to be worried too much about normal things in your truck. Forget those things for a while and enjoy your truck and have a peaceful mind. When something is not working, do spend time and investigate and come back and ask us if you've any queries.

      Thanks

Driving uphill for 3h on 2nd gear- fan doesn't kick in
Downhil it turns on- that's the concern. Hence, the question.
      Yeah, I'm worried.
      - downloaded manual , it doesn't have anything informational.
      - Tata mechanics are puzzled when asked important and useful question
      - I live off grid. Trying to understand my truck probs and solution- not many websites and solutions on YouTube too.
      - don't want to be stranded on the roadside.nearest 'self proclaimed ' mechanic is 15kms
      - have to make Asia and Europe on this very truck in the coming months.
Done cross continents. I love my truck-that's why learning its way of life
