Yoko BluEarth are silicon based tyres and are also environmentally friendly. They also offer low rolling resistance which is supposed to improve the fuel efficiency. They also have good feedback in some international tyre forums.

My suggestion would be that as long as you are not a spirited pedal to metal type driver with a powerful modded car , you don't need to do too much of a research and get confused. BluEarth would be more than sufficient for your needs.

I've been using Michelin Primacy LC for the past 57000 Kms (7.5 years) and had no problems for both city and highway drives. They've been excellent especially when I'd slammed on the brakes from 150+Kmph speeds (happened twice). I'd only 1 slow puncture where I'd to top up only once in 15 days, till date. So everyone's experience is different under different conditions.

Blue Earth - Not sure how it performs on road, but the sidewall felt soft to touch/press when compared to Earth 1
