speed79 ; what about Gran i10 Nios AMT - recent launch from Hyundai . Its BS VI compliant too
Mgama AMT version with decent feature ex-showroom is 6.37 so will fit right into your budget .

speed79 - I will advise for Tiago AMT. Its quite peppy in sport mode and build quality is quite good. My usage is also quite low and its perfectly serving the purpose since last 1 plus year.
Bonus is the awesome music system. Newer ones comes with 15 inch alloys and apple car play/ android auto.

All this doesn't look very promising. EON was a good selling car.

She is driving XUV for now. Figured I don't need two cars. I would have picked up an AMT if wife had struggled with manual.

Good. So she drops/picks you at /from office, and takes XUV to her institute?

If i see, she would be moving from turning radius of 5.1 metres (Vista) to 4.9 meters (Gi10/Santro/Nios), just a reduction of 20 cms. Most difficult part with Vista is taking U-turn in narrow streers (30 ft). Somehow i find Storme with turning radius of 5.4 meters and the big bulk ito bemuch easier to make u-turn even on narrow streets as compared to Vista. Vista takes more front and back to make u-turn in front of my house on 40 ft street as compared to Storme.

I can reduce truning radius with only Alto 800 (4.5m) or S-Presso (4.5m) or Ignis (4.7 m). I detest Alto800 and S-presso. Thoigh Ignis seems decent enough but slightly wider than Tiago.

So could consider Tiago, Gi10, Nios, Santro or Ignis.

Yes, Nios would also be in consideration. I hope it is not larger in dimensions as compared to Gi10.

Tiago AMT seems to be high on the list. There is something Tiago NRG too. What is NRG? Tiago with higher ground clearance and some black tapes/plastic cladding all around?

I know. I have HK in my Storme as well. That is one big deal. No after market music system would be needed.

Are you sure about AMT with 15 inch wheels? Tata motors website seems to suggest 15 inch only on XZ+ Petrol, and XZA/XZA+ have 14 inch alloys only.

Personal opinion, No I didn't face any issues. Its not as thick as Vista I can confirm. But visibility varies from person to person. So I would recommend to personally check than going with my opinion.

No change in ground clearance. Some roof rails and extra claddings. Mechanically exactly same with cosmetic changes and NRG badge that's it

With the second car with such low running, I would look for a 3-4 used i10 Auto or similar vehicle. They are just so easy to drive in the city, no hassle of service as you can go like whenever you feel it needs service or even get it done at a FNG. The only drawback for i10 Auto is its mileage which is surprisingly low for such a tiny car.

I'm also looking for a second car for my wife and for local errands with tight parking and a lot of no parking zones

My car Honda Brio is very easy to drive, park, taking u turns etc. As far as I know only alto, nano has smaller turning radius. But I did not consider these cars with tiny tyres and weaker engine when buying a new car. Wagon R is also very compact. Not sure though these cars come with auto transmission. Tiago and rest are not too impact IMO. Kwid can also be a good option

I had rejected Brio earlier when i was looking for a car some 5 years back, but right now the requirements are different. A small and easy to handle car for strictly city usage, with a small dimension and small turning radius and high visibility is all i need for my wife. So even a glorified Alto would have worked for me.

+1, but i am bit averse to used car route. And so is my wife.

That is why it was in my consideration list, but alas it has been stopped.

Tiago, Gi10 and Kwid are almost same size and have turning radius of 4.8/4.9 meters.

Its just made to 'look' rugged, its not exactly rugged. Also, I doubt if NRG AMT variants have alloy wheels as standard. 'Duralloy' are just the wheel caps.

If budget no problem, G I10 can be looked as well. But it doesnt comes in top end while Tiago AMT comes in top trim as well.
