Ultraviolette : performance ev bike manufacturer from India (Bangalore)

      This sure does look interesting:

-electric bike with 120+ range and power of a sports bike
      - top speed of 147kmph
      - comes with modular/detachable battery pack

PS: didn't quite get the torture figures quoted at wet wheels.. a staggering 450NM.. is it due to drive ratio!?

Should be possible with 450 Nm. The new Tesla Roadster has 10,000 Nm. Worse waiting for the live event. How long should we wait?

Isn't that figure comically high when compared to ICE counterparts?
There must be something else in the play.

Thats because its an Electric Motor. Engines you feed more fuel as you want it to make more hp but these motors have supplies that it can tap from to get instant power thus the difference in torque figures.

Get this on a dyno, then you know exact figures as to what happens when.

We all know electric motors are torque bombs but getting it down as smooth as possible without loosing out traction all the time would be where the tech bits on the bike shine.

My guess is that the data is exaggerated, 90nm sounds more or less correct for a 25kwh bike. I have ridden the Zero SR which is an 80kwh beast and has approx 190 nm.

That doesn't explain substantially lower torque at motor : 90NM which is more realistic.

Exactly. Probably they have a method of calculating/representing torque at wheels.

In all, this sure does really interesting and innovative.
