      Dont you think the jumper cables are too thin?

      Here are mine that I carry in the car in winter and these start a small car. They are useful if the car starts easily, otherwise they get hot. If the car does not start after 2 or 3 attempts, I ask them to contact a tow truck. Been used only once the past 5 years.

      Yes they are little Thinner than I would like. But that's what I had in Lockdown.

      Indian; the cables are too thin. Normally allow the bad battery some time to collect some juice before trying. The cables can get warm, that does not matter.

      bhvm sir few questions, if the time changes everytime we start a vehicle then is the battery at fault? If everything else is working normal then is it still the battery? How to fix it? Is it advisable to charge a battery and then use it in a vehicle? The oem says not to.

      Yes. It the battery. But which I do not know.
      Because most timepieces will draw power from Main battery and it might be possible that voltage is coming too low during cranking. However, some Cars will use a small CMOS cell (Like in PCs and laptops) To store Memory without draining main battery. This CMOS cell is also backed up by Main battery. If Both are low, Time will reset.

      Again not enough info. Main Lead acid battery, yes. You can charge it on the inverter and use. Also check the Electrolyte level.
      Do not charge a CMOS cell.

      When I jump start a battery I connect the plus and minus to my battery. Then the plus to the car that needs help. The minus is connected to a good on the earth on the disabled car.
      I start my engine and accelerate to about 3000 RPM while starting the other car.
      I have also heavy duty jumper cables. These are as thick as my index finger.
      If my car runs out of juice I have connected a thin wire from my VSR relay to the the leisure battery. This will connect both batteries. I switch it on and wait a few seconds and I can start the car with juice from my leisure battery which is under the seat.
      I have a 120A battery under the seat to run my freezer, air to air diesel heater and engine heater.
