2 of them one for each floor. Yes it doesn't power the whole house. Only limited lights, fans, TV, Router and computer.

Lead Acid. Li-On is just entering the market and price wise nearly 2X the cost but maintenance free. Next cycle of replacement I'll switch over to Li-On.

Any one considering off grid solar panels to be independent of the grid should consider looking into Studer: Studer Innotec - Inverter charger MPPT solar charge controller
They are swiss made, efficient and have 10 years replacement warranty on the controller.

You must mean the LiFePo4 batteries? These have better fire protection with the BMS. This battery can be charged up in as fast as an hour from 90% discharge.
I am looking at 4X the price of a lead acid battery but prices have been dropping lately. The cheapest 100A battery from a reputable company I have seen is 600 euros. A 100A solar panel will be 200. Then I need a MPPT solar regulator and a voltage sensing relay costing 250 euros.
The last 2 items can be replaced with a DC to DC charger that will reverse charge the starter battery when the second battery is full. This will give me 20A of charge current.
I think I will start with only a battery and VSR and fit a solar panel if i need one. Right now my lead acid battery of 120A runs my fridge and heater for 4 days before going down to 40%. With a LiFePo4, i can run them safely for 8 days at least.
Some friends of mine connected their solar panel to the starter battery when the alternator broke down. They toured Europe on solar power.

How long will a battery last fully charged without solar power? How big are you solar panels in Watts? What sort of inverter do you use?

No the standard Li-On not LiFePo4. LiFePo4 even more relatively newer kid in the block than LiOn for Home Inverter battery usage.

Mine is a Online grid, meaning I don't use Solar to charge my battery. My Inverter + Battery setup is a stop gap arrangement meaning, in case of emergency or any power failures only it will be used. Power cuts are very very rare in my place like once in 6 months or so for maintenance they'll shut it down. My current Inverter + Battery setup is charged off the Power mains line and it will last me 8 hours for 4 Energy Saving fans + 8 LED Tubes.

Each panel is 310W and my total Plant capacity is 3KVA

Its a Traditional DC-AC inverter which converts Solar generated DC to AC. Its Growatt and this is the model Growatt 3000-S

I am on. Today I got my CTEK DC-DC charger which also has an MPPT and a battery separator built in. Output is 20A. This will save me the cost of buying both a voltage sensing relay and an MPPT regulator. Space is tight in the car and I can fit this CTEK under the seat together with the battery. To start with I will install this without a solar panel for now and add the solar panel later on. Not decided if I should get a fixed solar panel or one I can connect when I need a charge
Winter is around the corner and days are getting shorter.
I am in the process of bargaining for a nice price for the LiFePo4 battery with heating element and bluetooth. Charging a lithium battery under zero degrees can shorten the battery life. He will call me next week.
When I told my wife the "price" of the setup, she thought it was not too bad. If only she had known, she would have come after me with a stick.
