      Figo TDCi Titanium

      Got the car delivered yesterday.
It's white. I'm afraid I dont have any pics yet, because the thunderstorm last week took out my internet modem. Posting this from my mobile.

After running around looking at every diesel car under 11 lacs, I ended up buying the Figo at 5.78 on road.
The choice was between 2 small cars or one large sedan/SUV. Based on budget. I decided to go for 2 small cars so that my wife could start commuting independently, and also because a smaller car is much more manageable in the city.
Maintenance and mileage was also important.

Except for the lack of power windows at the back, its loaded with everything I want.
ABS, EBD, airbags, music system with easily set up bluetooth
Power mirrors, rear wiper and demister
Handles and brakes well on the crap OE goodyears too.
Engine is still tight. So I've been running it in. Sort of
Did 120kms in the city today.
Taking it smoothly and slowly to 3k rpm.
Plan to touch 4k rpm after 4 days. Going up by 200 rpm every day.
This is not the recommended running in procedure, just something I wanted to try out.
I'd say the power is adequate.
Getting away first from the traffic lights is not an issue even while being gentle on the accelerator.
The DTE has stayed steady since it was filled to the brim yesterday with 42liters of diesel. Inspite of running 120kms in city with the AC on, the DTE has stayed resolutely at 490kms. Dont know how accurate that is.

I've telling everyone that this car feels like a grownup swift.
More space, better visibility, better ride. Decent handling, nice torque and mileage.
I miss the insane pull of the swift at 2k rpm, but the lack of any turbo lag makes up for it.

      Problems
Passenger side power window squeals while moving.
      Irregular idle
I'll wait till the 1st service is over before making a complaint.
Tires are not too great. But far better than the 165 jk vectra that ships with the swift.
Cant wait to get the run in done with and go for a ghat drive.

      Congrats Doc!

That DTE on the Fords is rubbish, if you ask me. However you drive, the reserve light will suddenly come on at 80km (of DTE, that is)

Congrats Ripper! I bet the car will be a hoot to drive.

Is the idling irregular even on a fully warmed up engine?
I don't know what's gonna happen man but I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames

      Thanks guys.
Gilead- its less irregular after warming up.
hrag- interesting. Will keep an eye on that reading.
Frankenstein- we'll see. I could use a little more power.
But nothing immediately. I'm having an expensive couple of months coming up.
      @shera- 5.78 on road
That's cheaper than the 5.85 i paid 3 yrs ago for the spartan swift Vdi.
