Hey guys, my old monitor is gonna blow any minute. Please suggest a VFM LCD/LED with model numbers and +'s and -'s.

      No Second thoughts.
Go for Samsung LED BX2031 Rs:7600-/

Or if you want LCD then go for
      Samsung 20" 2030 50000:1, DVI Rs:6700-/

      +:Its a Samsung.
      Clarity is good
      ASS is good.

      - : Nothing i can think of.

Edit: Just my opinion.Others could pour in. I use DELL LCD at office and Samsung LCD at Home.So i know the difference.

To be precise... Samsung Syncmaster 2033 20''

I have been using it, and it just gives you strain less viewing even for continuous 18 hours in front of ur PC.

This is LCD or LED. Nothing mentioned in the site. Cost??. Did you manage to get the driver?

I've an LCD TV/laptop & LED on desktop. I can vouch, LED is a best bet for all day viewing though LCD isn't that difficult either. But somehow, I feel LED's are better appealing. Don't worry much on AOC, they've been quite around for sometime now + they're OE suppliers to HCL & even DELL

AGN - I'm not against Samsung, just trying to say that AOC is ALSO a better brand as much as like Samsung or Sony. I wasn't aware of it until 2 months ago when I upgraded my desktop which is when I learned about AOC. Check this out - About AOC

Dude, don't break your head too much. Buy an LCD, there is not much difference between both in terms of viewing unless you gonna use your desktop for really long hours.

If you are concerned about LCD and LED for display... that again hardly matters. All that matters is your Graphics card. If you don't (which I suppose you don't coz u have an 8 year old CRT) ..... you will hardly get any clarity difference in movies/games.

The model which I suggested is an LCD and I didn't get the driver yet... but no worries. Everything is as good as I wanted it to be.
