Battery for Santro - Options Needed

      Hi guys,

I was not able to get much attention in the general thread. So i decided to create one for me.

Recent inspection by Hyundai Guys suggested to replace a local assembled battery in my santro.

Here is the spec posted in amaron site.

      Hyundai(Santro)
      38B20R
      12V 35Ah

Now Considering i use AC and basic ICE (amp & future sub etc) is this fine or should i go for higher ah rating ?

Also what brand i can go in ?

I ruled out Exide. AC delco , tata Green , Bosch silver plus and prestolite dint get much interest from dealers i inquired.

Things i have in my mind are,
      1. Amaron - Not a big diff between go,flo,pro just 100-200
      2. SF Super sonic - Around 3000

With exchange and some discount i can finish it around 3k.

Please suggest me good battery also which variant.

Though i may not have the car for long time i wish to have a trouble free battery even for new owners. And also there is not much difference between a battery with 12 months warranty and and 60 months warranty in price.

Warranty comparison between SF and Amaron

Go Amaron! I dont think I have heard of anything good about SF batteries. Bosch silver is another one which I have heard good stuff about.

Obviously the rating of the stock battery. 12V 35Ah as you mentioned. If that is not available, then the next highest rating.

For a petrol car, with no extra current requirements(ICE etc), there really is no need for a higher rated battery?

Amarons failed in indigo marina and sonata within 1 year. Sonic , i am currently using in the scorp and sonata, its been 3 years ,still going good.

Amaron for some reason is being hyped up online.

Amaron gives a battery free every time somebody posts a good review about it.

Not sure if this is 100% relevant, but the Amaron on my Pulsar failed within 6 months. But they replaced it under warranty and no questions asked. To be fair, the bike wasn't seeing much use then, so a full discharge may have been a factor. But I did like the fact that they replaced it without creating a fuss.
