FE largely depends on the driving style (Of course, traffic does play role too). Please change your stock JK tyres to a better rubber or go for a bigger tires atleast 175. My LXI version does not have ABS. I usually stay at 100-120 kmph speeds in highways and it handles brilliantly.

Man this is too much for a small car, don't try these kind of speeds in small cars.

Thats a pretty gentle pattern....I also stick to similar pattern for City drive....though my car drives pretty well in 5th gear at 40 KMPH

I love the front design however rear is completely let down, they could have done it better.

I never cross speeds beyond 120 kmph (120 kmph itself is too much for a small car!). I mostly drive at an almost steady speed around 100 kmph in Highways. I really wanted to try how the car was performing that day; took the car all the way to 148kmph. Will never do that!!

I tried shifting to 5 th gear around 40 kmph; but noticed that the engine was kinda lugging. Hence I shift to 5 th gear around 50 kmph speeds. Badly missing a Tacho!!

      Acelere Alloys for A-Star

After extensive search, I bought R13 * 5.5 j Apollo Acelere Alloys. Steering response continues to be brilliant. Braking and cornering improved tremendously after the alloys.

Apollo isn’t manufacturing them but importing from :: YHI International Limited ::. YHI, singapore is famous for making world class alloys (Koenig, Enkei to name a few). Makes perfect sense to go for this brand.

Neo alloys – VFM budget alloys. Found it heavier than my steel rims. Finish is average. Abuse friendly. Life time warranty!

Plati, Freeman, Hijoin-HRS, Yongle – Chinese brands and cheap. Their designs are great and flashy. But I decided to stay from Chinese ones for obvious reasons. No warranty.

Bought the alloys from Super Tyre World (authorized Apollo Dealer), JC Road ((diagonally opposite to Multi Level Car Park. I found the key tyre guy, Murugan to be very technical. The owner Santosh is a nice guy to deal with and incidentally he is from Trichy!
Took a set of 5 alloys for 17k with 2 year warranty. Good deal I would say for quality alloys.

Silver on a silver color car is very common and black is a bling - bling.. I went for the Gun metal looks. 5.5j looks perfect for my A-Star on 175/70 R13 tyres and no fouling issues with 5.5j.

Let the pictures do the talking now…..

The Alloys look really good. Good selection, we need some proper pictures to do justice

@revfreindly - the car looks stunning with alloys.Does your car rock side to side over uneven but smooth roads because some owners of A- star including me have have witnessed it.
BTW , thanks for wonderful review with pictures.
