      Servicing Baleno @ 56000kms

      Friends,

      My car has done 56k and servicing is due. As per my knowledge i have few things in mind which has to be taken care of, appreciate your inputs on what all i need to do at this point.
      Points in mind,
      * suspension overhaul
      * Need to change wheel bearing
      * Change clutch
      * Cabin noise reduction should be done. (Dont know what to do for this thou)
      * Is it fine to lift up the car, coz frequently i hit the speed breakers
      * And general servicing

      Kindly give your inputs on what else can be done. Thanks

      David Vijay

      At 56k? What kind of roads do you drive on?

      What exactly is the issue? Did you check if any beadings are not seating properly? What sort of noise are you hearing?

      An absolute NO.. You will lose the plush ride quality the OE suspension offers you. Take the speedbrakers at a 30 degree angle, will reduce the scraping bit. Either ways even if you scrape it shouldn't be bothering you, its the exhaust pipe that hangs way too down that scrapes.

      Mclaren, the noise which i hear is engine sound i guess. some "grrrrr" sound which i dont know from where its coming. And regarding the low floor, shall i check on the shock absorbers replacement if its worn out. And the rest of general service will be done as usual

      David, its highly unlikely that your shocks/struts are busted unless the car was driving into nasty potholes at high speeds or if it was badly maintained. The suspension should easily last 75-80k without issues if you drive sedately.

      Try to locate where the noise is coming from. Could be from the gearbox too.

      Hi David, BTW have you completed the service yet? If yes, may I request you to post the outcome of the service with an overview of the costs involved. I guess this would give an idea to Baleno users just like me.

      Thanks!

      Hi todavid27, I'm having the same noise/vibration from the left end of dash, above the glove box. Whenever I raise the engine a bit @ 1500rpm at idle I hear this noise. I doubted it to be the loose dash nuts or something. But I now feel it might also be from AC blower. You can check that in particular. Let me know.
