I don't understand your logic here...you are selling away the seat belt buckles, so how will you use it on the highway. Does you car have one for the city and one for the highway...or will you buy a new set of buckles for the highway and then sell it off again when you go into the city?

      I don't think so!.

A car colliding at 30 kms per hour will have a similar impact of falling from 2nd floor of a building. I am sure you cannot run more than 15kmph, so just try running fast into a concrete wall, and check if you come out unhurt. .

Search the web for the ill-effects of not wearing a seat belt and then read this thread:

Do you wear seatbelts while driving your car? - Page 10

Please buckle up every time you get into a car..whether to drive or not.

PS: I don't think anyone on GearHeads would buy your seat belt buckle if they know that you are going to have a car with out seat belt buckles.

Guys... if i am around 40-50 and i see a danger and surly i will hit the brakes, hence reducing my speed to may be around 20-30 before i hit the anything and I my body gets prepared for the jerk to take. and i think a normal person can take the jerk who is hold the steering wheel at that speed.. but the passenger on side will surly hit the dash.

I will only get hurt if i hit anything at 40kmph if i dnt hit brakes like in video...

monty9991...accidents happen only when you don't hit the brakes on time or someone else doesn't...thereby crashing into your car.

Read this please: NYS DMV - Driver's Manual - Chapter 8 ...and note this sentence in there:

...People have been killed in crashes at speeds as low as 12 mph (19.2 km/h). About 75 percent of crashes occur within 25 miles (40 km) of the driver's home. Wear your seat belt even on short trips or when traveling at low speeds.

Please take this advise seriously and may sense prevail. That's all I will say in this thread.
