Look at Indica Dlx turbo. You may get it around 2 to 2.5 lakhs

Hi I would suggest you stretch the budjet a bit more and get the new Dbeat, indica is also good but not as powerful and smooth. I guess you could also get swift if you can buy from the owner rather going through dealers.

Are you sure you wanna go in for a diesel car for 20km/day runs? Maintenance costs for the diesel will be on the higher side than the comparable petrol model.

You should be able to lay your hands on a well-maintained 2005-2006 model Swift for less than 3.0L if you check the classifieds and local deals rather than going to the dealers. The dealers add min 50k to the price and also polish up the car so you might not be able to get the real feel of the car.

for me Dbeat with the current price price tag looks expensive.. on top of that I conside it as two seater car with very poor bench like rear seats which are useless on long drives. If compared with Indica, indica is still a better buy..

with the today Petrol price hike I feel going for diesel is one good option... one thing you never know is your daily run can increase in near future. With constant increase in petrol prices, second hand diesel cars are in high demand these days..

The maintenance cost of diesel is high but with long servicing periods and high mileage compared to petrol car it makes sense... the biggest advantage is when going on long drives you need not have to worry about how many tank full you need for entire trip...
If you can't drive thru it, drive over it....

      In that budget :

      1) Indica diesel

      2) Palio MJD - check out service/spares in your city before making a decision.

      Used Swift diesel's are overpriced.

I would like to suggest chevy,s beat diesel a brand new car, if you can really stretch up. If not possible my options are Suzuki swift vdi.

Last choice is Tata Indica especially not to go turbo my dear.

In most of the discussions, we usually discuss about the maintenance cost between petrol and diesel cars. Really i dont believe in this, eventhough its a third rated car if the user is good, it will be a good car for him. So please maintain the car whether its petrol or diesel. Give some personal attention to your car. Then you will acknowledge
