J Compass with the dummy buttons on the steering, costing ₹ 25 lakhs? No chance. Maybe, 'Leh by Linea & Cheetah & Nexon' and keep the balance amount invested in stocks and FD!

      Hussainiwala

We left the Amritsar hotel at 12:45 pm on 20 July 2017 and drove to Hussainiwala near Ferozpur by 4:30 pm. First, we visited the martyrs memorial, where Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru were cremated on 23 March 1931. Later, we watched the retreat ceremony at the border. The specialty here is, the Indian soldier goes over to the Pakistani soil and lowers the Indian Tricolour. The Pakistani soldier comes to the Indian soil and lowers the Pakistan's national flag. Then, they cross each other and the flags reach their respective countries!

We started our home-ward drive from Hussainiwala at 7:30 pm, had late dinner at 10:30 pm on NH 1 after crossing Ludhiana, passed through Dellhi at the small hours, slept for a couple of hours at Yamuna Expressway, continued our drive and reached our hotel at Nagpur at 8:45 pm on the next day. We left Nagpur at 1:45 pm on 22 July 2017 and reached home, sweet home at 9 am on the next day.

Now I've lost count of how many times you have been in Yamuna Expressway!! Infact you would be travelling quite frequently than many Delhites
And What a beautiful road to Chindwara. If I'm not wrong is it the NS corridor road?
How are Dhaba and other facilities in that Section from Lakhnadon to Jhansi?

N-S Corridor is via Seoni and Lakhnadon.

Very poor. In fact, when we tasted good tea at a dhabha near Narsinghpur, we bought few more cups in flask! I always tank up at BP COCOO at Lalitpur between Jhansi and Sagar.

Sorry to contradict you sir, but I unknowingly during my last visit to noida drove through Nagpur->Seoni->Lakhnadaon. The bad roads are only for 30 Kms rest all are in good shape. In fact just after crossing the Pench Tiger Reserves the road is in absolutely good shape. Also I had lunch in one of the dhaba and that was good too.

There are plenty of dhabas and few good ones are also there. Next trip I will be diverting to Chindwara. The stretch that I didn't like was Jhansi - Gwalior. Will be driving somewhere between Mid to Last October. Let's see what's the road status after rains.

      Leh on Nexon

Our Blue Diamond - aka Nexon XZA+ AMT Diesel - took us for a long ride of Chennai>Sach Pass>Ladakh>Ajmer Dargah>Chittorgarh Fort>Bangalore safely and comfortably. This was our third visit - but, maiden one for Blue Diamond - to Ladakh. The first one was via Srinagar in Sep 2011, the second was via Manali in July 2017 and the present one was via Sach Pass. We attempted to do Sach Pass>Leh twice in the last 5 years - in 2014 by erstwhile XUV 500 and 2016 by Thunderbird 500 - but in vein due to road closures because of bad weather. Both the times, we returned from Dalhousie/Chamba with the unfinished destination. So, this time, I changed my strategy and drove straight to Bairagarh, stayed there for the night and drove through Sach Pass, the next day!

Nice trip sir. Did you find any issue in Leh due to current political situation in J&K?
