      Go-Karting in Bangalore

      Hello guys,

AFAIK, there are three Karting tracks in Bangalore. GRIPS, Torq-03 and Patels. Which one is good? I plan to visit GRIPS this weekend and will be my first karting experience. Any GH has plans to drop in and be kind heart-ed to share some wisdom?

Patel's Inn go karts are bad. Most technical track is grips and my personal favorite. Even torq is pretty nice.

Not sure about the management and the staff. But, had been to Torque quite a few times and have not faced any issues till date. There is lots of place to sit and you can also buy food from the stalls available there. The track at Grips would be the best. Torque is also pretty nice. Expect lot of rush on the weekends in Torque. Think they have also increased the rates there.

Hey could you point me to some of these reviews, will try put them across to the guys managing torq03.

I kart a lOT and I would highly suggest you visit the place sometime midweek. Stay away on the weekends as it can get crowded and the karts also take a solid beating.

So I went karting today Did much better than expected. ie not being lapped by my experienced buddies. One thing i observed that the steering was very very hard, at least on this No7 6.5HP kart. Is this normal? mclaren1885 any comments?

is this in comparison with other karts? otherwise kart steering is always tight and your hand/shoulder start to ache after couple of back to back runs [especially on a twisty track like that of torque].

I had been to GRIPS a month back and to TORQ-03 yesterday. Did 18 laps each at both places on different karts every 6 laps. I liked the present track layout at Torq-03. GRIPS is good with the elevation changes but Torq my favorite. Karts at GRIPS were hard to steer compared to the ones at TORQ-03. May be thats because of track surface. Rates for Raptor 6Hp kart are Rs150 and Rs175 at GRIPS and TORQ respectively.

Also some Red Bull qualifier is being held at TORQ right now.

And as always in my No 07 kart. Something I noticed was that I was much faster than everyone in wet but some overtook me in dry . Ofcourse we were all noobs
