Suzuki unwraps Inazuma 250CC...CBR 250 killer??

With Kawasaki and Honda having the Ninja 250R and the CBR250R respectively, to compete in the 250cc sportsbike segment in India, Yamaha and Suzuki are the other big Japanese motorcycle majors who still do not have 250cc offerings for the Indian market. While there have been speculations about Suzuki coming up with the GW250 for the Indian market, it seems like the GW250 has gotten itself a new name with Suzuki unveiling the Inazuma 250cc motorcycle, a motorcycle which looks strikingly similar to the GW250, at this year’s NEC motorcycle show.

Inazuma 250 features a 250cc parallel twin engine although other specifications like the power and torque figures remain under wraps at the moment. That said, given that the Suzuki GW250 develops 26 Bhp of peak power and 24 Nm of peak torque from its liquid cooled, DOHC 248cc parallel twin engine, expect the Inazuma to also output something similar to the GW250′s figures. What we hope will be different is the weight of the Inazuma, more so as the GW250 weighs a portly 180 kilograms.

With the upcoming 2012 Indian Auto Expo just months away, Suzuki India might go ahead and showcase the Inazuma 250 to gauge consumer response to this motorcycle. If at all show goers at the Auto Expo evince interest in the Inazuma 250, Suzuki might as well bring it to India as their maiden 250cc offering. Meanwhile, there have been some reports emerging that Suzuki is aiming to undercut both the Kawasaki Ninja 250R and the Honda CBR250R with the Inazuma’s pricing.

Headlight cowl - CB Unicorn Dazzler
      Front indicators - Karizma ZMR
      Muffler - GS150R
      Tail Lamp - Hunk

Did I miss something? Can't decide whether to like the styling or not.

The engine spec looks promising. Have to see how they price it as well. CBR250R has a single cylinder mill. One extra cylinder here would mean the prices being higher in the case of Inazuma.

      You mean N250R, C250R & I250? Well...wait...we'll have Katoom 200 equally powered to this.

Most ppl disliked I250, but somehow I still loved it & given the chance & money, I'd love to own this one; and did you know Frankenstein, no 3 bikes are the same!!! N250R is more of track oriented, C250R is more of rider/touring oriented & I250 is more of classic looks (like BKing) & street/touring oriented. If C250R & N250R falls into sports bike category, this one is more of relaxed riding experience, more like power, relaxed & long haul commuting than drag or racing offering the best seating & comfortable riding position compared to N250R & C250R.

PS - If you bring Katoom, that's entire different. Best for offroading, touring with comfortable riding position than the 250cc sports bike segment & less than I250.

So Katoom is the bike which is ideal . How is KTM.

I saw the honda 250cc bike in spar mall, liked it a lot , but it would look like an elephant sitting on a bicycle .
