Garware-Hyosung to add two more cruisers to their indian lineup

Garware-Hyosung, the Indo-Korean motorcycle joint venture has massive plans for the Indian market. The latest buzz is that, Garware-Hyosung will launch two more motorcycles in the Indian market, and both of them will be be cruisers. Both these cruisers will be launched in 2012, taking the total number of high end motorcycle launches by Garware-Hyosung during 2012 to 4.The two cruisers that Garware-Hyosung will launch in India during 2012 are the GV250 and the GV650. Both these motorcycles will feature brand new styling, distinguishing them from the solitary cruiser offering from Hyosung in India, the flagship ST7 cruiser, which was launched in the middle of last year.

      • Five speed transmission
      • Peak power - 70 Bhp
      • Peak torque - 60 Nm.
The Hyosung GV650 is expected to be launched at around May 2012, at a price under INR 5 lakhs. This means that the ST7 cruiser will continue to be the flagship motorcycle in Hyosung’s Indian range.

      Guys,

For the Naked Street GT650 its around 4.5L, for the Full flared one 5.5L and 6.25L for the Cruiser GV650 in Bangalore.
The Showroom is in Ulsoore/Halasoor near Ganesha Temple. they charge Rs 500 for a test ride and its refunded in the booking amount.

I have had a GT 250 for the last 6+ years, Used it day in and day out, did lots of touring including a Himalayas trip to places like M-La, Chushul & Chumar.
You can google for cometsunil to find more of my experience with the GT 250, I would HIGHLY recommend the same to anyone, except for parts availability that needs to be sourced from Richard Hyosung (he has an online store) and DO NOT trust kinetic mechs (No experience with Garware folkes) at least for people in and around Bangalore you can bank on a SBK mech that gives you door service at your home, his name is Javad his number is 09980197889

      Cheers
      Sunil

PS: Mods, not sure if its OK put Number if not please remove the same. Have put it for benefit of people

Women are getting onto 2-wheels and how. A few months ago, Harley-Davidson sold its first motorcycle to a woman followed by another women customer. Last week we read about Chithra Priya completing the grueling Saddlesore. Now its Garware Motors, who have sold got their first woman customer. Ms. Priyanka Dangi has bought the Hyosung ST7 Royale. The Pune resident is a student of St Mira’s college but loves motorcycles from the bottom of her heart. Her purchase signals that super bikes are not only for men.

“I am very happy to purchase this world class bike from Hyosung’s stable and I did not consider any other brand knowing the fact that Garware Motors will provide the best of the class product and services. It has always been my dream to one the ST7 and now I do own one,” Priyanka Dangi said.

The Hyosung ST7 is powered by a 678cc, 8-valve, DOHC, V-twin engine which produces 58 BHP of power at 8000 RPM and 57 Nm of torque at 6000 RPM. Mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox, the ST7 will reach 100 km/h in just 6.5 seconds and on to a top speed of 180 km/h. The Hyosung ST7 Royale variant features the accessories offered by Garware Motors which include front visor, foot rest, carry cover, back rest, etc. They cost close to Rs. 1.5 lakhs.

Garware Motors To Launch Hyosung GT250R Soon

Garware Motors has released a statement saying that they will be launching a new 250 cc bike in India soon. It is no secret that this 250 cc bike is the Hyosung GT250R, with the GT250N following in at soon after. Garware Motors claims that their new 250 cc motorcycle will give tough competition to its close competitors, which by the likes of it is the Honda CBR250R. The company says that its 250 cc offering will be priced very competitively. The Hyosung GT250R will be retailed through Garware Motors showrooms, which are present in Tier-II and Tier-III cities as well.

The Hyosung GT250R is powered by a 249 cc, air/oil cooled DOHC engine. This 75° V-twin has 8-valves and produces 26.27 BHP of peak power at 10,000 RPM and 21.04 Nm of peak torque at 6750 RPM. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. While Garware Motors has not revealed much details about other aspects of the Hyosung GT250R, we are aware that the bike has the capability to nudge past 170 kmph. A weight of 171 kgs along with a fuel tank capacity of 17-litres ensures the Hyosung can be a good tourer, provided you manage to get used to the aggressive riding position. What ever said and done, a V-Twin with such gorgeous looks and an expected price of Rs. 1.65 lakhs (ex-showroom pricing) will surely win many customers for Garware.

The above bike looks real awesome . As usual the A.S.S Support is quite suspect.

Only last evening, we reported that Garware Hyosung will be soon launching the GT250R in Indian market. Now, the news is that the Korean auto manufacturer has set up a manufacturing facility at Wai in Maharashtra. This plant has an annual capacity of 2,000."The company is targeting metro and tier-II cities for its proposed GT 250 R offering," the manufacturer said. Garware Hyosung will also add two more dealerships to its Indian dealer network. These dealerships will come up at Guwahati and Aizwal. This also means that these Korean bikes will be soon seen being offered with a very competitive price tag. Watch out for this space.
