      which car from TATA-FIAT

I am planning to buy new diesel car with in May. I am owning a pre-owned Santro which is 2000 model with PS/AC and Front power windows. I am having this for more than 4 years.

I knew the prices of diesel cars may go up but i could buy pre budget due to other commitments.
Initially had some dilemma to choose between petrol and diesel cars as i did not drove diesel cars more than 2 kms.[I tried my FIL amby but i could not seat comfortably as i am 6".2 , it has the bench kind of seat in front] . Two weeks back got a chance to drive a indica v2 which has done 68K added 250Kms more to it's speedo. It helped to choose diesel . The indica is solid and i took 9Adutls + 3 kids including myself as driver during a short trip.

I followed up many forums and need to choose from vista and punto.
I yet to test drive both.
I understand the Vista is VFM and back seat space.

Experts please guide me the advantages to choose Punto over vista other than rear space.

I will be driving with 2 adults + 2 kits for 90% of the time. +2 more adults 9% .
One long weekend trip per month(>700kms) and short trip (<150kms) other weekends.

The models i thought are Punto Dynamic / active if i extend the budget or Vista Zx .

I am having a pre approved HDFC loan for 7L . Please suggest about choosing the bank also.

Thanks a lot for your guides.

9 adults and 3 kids in an indica is not a safe thing to do.

If you don't have problems with the indica (especially with its taxi tag) go ahead with it.

You better tell this to the Tata people, they could use you in their marketing campaign.

If you're okay with the brand, go for Vista. It's a no-nonsense performing car and comes in a great package.

Yes. It is for a short distance of 10 kms. It depends on heart of the people inside the car not the size of the car

Thanks for your sugg.. I can't extend that much. Punto 76AEmotion itself a stretched budget .

There is no problem with the TATA as the indica is my first dream car during my college days.

Confusing in the handling/cornering part of the Vista during high speed in highway .

Just take the car out on a TD. Call up both fiat and Tata, book slots for both and compare yourself. Ultimately you have to drive and keep it, try out which suits you better.

I test drives Fiat Punto on concord guindy today.
While stepping inside felt like very safe. The demo car is new one with temp registration.
Very Silent cabin. AC doing good on this early summer here. The seating position is good for me[6.2"] Not hitting on the roof like the amby.

Went smooth on bad roads and did not feel lack of power [may by driving my santro 2000 model] very stable .

I am looking for the Novo White but the emotion variant is not available now it will take 20 more days. In Dynamic that color available readily.
Asking 7,07K for the dynamic and 772K for the Active with out Coporate discount may reduce more while booking.

Please let me know about this deal. I yet to check VST

I yet to test drive vista . Asking myself do i need to ?

Do check out other dealers as they will have better deals.. also do test drive all possible cars that falls under your budget before finalizing. It helps in your decision making.

I would say, stay away from Fiat. Why are you specifically looking for Tata/Fiat? There are many good choices out there like Figo, Swift, etc.
If you want from Tata then look no further than Vista. Very VFM. I also liked the Indigo CS. It's also a very VFM vehicle. U get decent space inside + big boot. Performance is also good.
