      Cool ICEing my 2012 ANHC

      Hi Guys!
Just got my 2012 ANHC (Color: Urban Titanium) on 1st April 2012 and as the ICE bug bites us all, i was bitten...... and upgraded my setup right next day!

Here is the costing for all components:
HU: Caska for Honda City + Number Plate Reverse Camera + Map my India Maps >>>> INR 41000/-
Front Speakers: Hertz HSK 165 (Continuous RMS 125W, Peak RMS 250W) >>>> INR 14000/-
Rear Speakers: Hertz HCX 165 (Continuous RMS 100W, Peak RMS 200W) >>>> INR 8000/-
      Amplifier: Hertz HE-4 (4 Channel: 4 X 70W RMS @ 4 Ohms) >>>> INR 9500/-
      Wiring: Connection >>>> INR 4300/-
Door Damping: Dynamat Xtreme >>>> INR 1500/- (At present done just behind the speaker & where speakers are fitted)
Total Expenditure: INR 78300/- (So far........)

I have some questions too on my setup,so here I go:
      1. Do you feel the combination is right, have i spent too much on my system? (i know its a stupid question!)
      2. I would love to add some tight thump in my car (SQ no SPL) for myself and not for other cars around me, but don't wana compromise on boot space, and as we know honda city rear seats have space below it so do we have chance to install a 8 inch subwoofer. I am looking for JBL GTO804 or Polk 8", any other suggestion for woofer will be really helpfull!
      3. Hertz HCX 165 (Continuous RMS 100W, Peak RMS 200W): Do you think my HU would be able to run them without any need of amplifier? And just to clarify these are coaxials. Also as i am getting inclined to get a woofer and don't want dual amp currently.
      4. Lastly I am not sure about door damping, my installer has just put dynamats behind the speaker and around the wooden rings on which speaker are installed. So need sugestion that doing damping on whole door, is it really helpfull? and any idea on how much it costs to do damping for all four doors of honda city and yeah forgot is it usefull to do damping of boot?

Thanks for looking and awaiting reply!

Well damping of the doors is very important. I would suggest you to get front doors fully damped , rear doors plastic panels damped and boot as well in case you will have sub installed. Start off with the front doors. You will surely feel the difference if its done well

I would suggest 8" Image dynamics sub in case its still available in India. They need very small box , Sounds amazing. Its tight and would also go low. I did audition it once powered by genesis amp and i was shocked with the way it was sounding. Perfect if you want the bass inside and not outside.

Rear speakers powered by amp will any day sound better when u compare them powered by the HU. But you wont have option as you don't wanna add second amp.

I hope i was able to help you in some way (:

The plastic door cover. It should be damped like below.

hmmmm this HU just to maintain the internal symmetry as the pioneer screens looked out of place, also the face plate available in market is silver one and not the grey one that is coming now days and silver color with silver AC knobs was giving a wierd look!
